My name is Néstor and it looks like you’ve found my personal website. Here you’ll find the writing and art that I’ve worked on over the years.
In 2018 and 2019 I was recognized by the SF Press Club for Excellence in Journalism for my “Centrospective” column. In 2018, I was also featured on the Intercepted podcast to discuss a comic I wrote for The Nib. In 2020, besides surviving the pandemic, I had the crazy idea of running for city council and was endorsed by Bernie Sanders (it’s all a blur now).
For 8 years, I was a university lecturer teaching Ethnic Studies at SFSU and CSUEB. I currently work in Occupational Health and Safety at UC Berkeley as my day job. I do some community organizing on the side. You won’t find any of that here, but you can always reach out to me for more info.
Feel free to follow me on the social media links below and if you’re interested in acquiring art from me, please use the contact form below. You can also subscribe to my substack using this link.
